Wellbeing & Mindfulness Facilitator

Full-TimeSt. Paul's Bay, Malta

About the Role

The Wellbeing & Mindfulness Facilitator is the heartbeat of Satori Academy's culture. You will design and lead the daily mindfulness programme for students and staff, weaving contemplative practices into the fabric of school life. This role goes far beyond leading guided meditations — you will create age-appropriate curricula for emotional regulation, self-awareness, empathy, and resilience across all age groups from early years through secondary. You will work alongside facilitators to embed social-emotional learning into academic projects, support students through difficult moments with trauma-informed care, and build a school-wide culture where mental health is not an afterthought but a foundation. You will also support staff wellbeing through regular check-ins, workshops, and by modelling a healthy, grounded way of being. We envision this role as both a practitioner and a culture-setter — someone who can hold space with grace and inspire others to prioritise inner development alongside academic growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and deliver daily mindfulness sessions for all age groups
  • Develop a comprehensive social-emotional learning curriculum aligned with international standards
  • Provide one-on-one wellbeing support for students using trauma-informed approaches
  • Train and support facilitators in embedding SEL into their learning designs
  • Lead staff wellbeing initiatives including workshops, retreats, and reflective practice groups
  • Monitor student wellbeing data and flag concerns through appropriate safeguarding channels
  • Build partnerships with external wellbeing practitioners and researchers

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, or related field
  • Certified mindfulness teacher (MBSR, MBCT, .b, or equivalent)
  • 3+ years working with children and young people in a wellbeing or therapeutic capacity
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and safeguarding protocols
  • Experience designing and delivering SEL or mindfulness curricula in educational settings
  • Warm, grounded presence with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to support a culture of openness and vulnerability

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with annual review
  • Relocation package for international hires
  • Personal mindfulness retreat allowance (annual)
  • Professional development budget (€2,000/year)
  • Dedicated wellbeing space and resources
  • Founding team equity participation opportunity
  • Flexible working arrangements and generous holiday allowance
